Universal Studio - New York ~ bringing Big Apple to Southeast Asia (Part 3)

11 Sentosa East Mall
Singapore 099054
New York's 5th Avenue.
Next stop to our grand USS tour is the New York City Zone. Hmmmmmm when will we be able to visit this place for real? Come on!!!!! Well, as everybody would say as always, keep on dreaming my little boy! (ahahaha!)
That was me making fun of myself since no one is around (ahahaha!).
From the boulevard of Hollywood, the wide lane will direct you straight to the city of Big Apple sans the Central Park (hehehe!). If you’re new to the area, you will not notice any differences with Hollywood district as it seems like the continuation of the mini-California replica, but that changed when we saw the famous and iconic building of New York City Public Library at the end of the lane and we told ourselves ‘Hey, we’re now in New York!” (ahahaha!)

The view of the whole 5th avenue complete with apartments to let (ahahaha!).
The trip starts from the KT’s Grill just beside the famous Mel’s Diner of Hollywood Boulevard. KT’s Grill is just one of the two restaurants that can be found in this zone along with Louie's Pizza will I soon feature in a separate post. They serve authentic New York Grill cuisine and the atmosphere is like bringing you back to the 40’s. They have wide varieties to choose from like steaks, pastas, sandwiches, soups and salads and they’re known for fresh oyster bar. A friend recommended this to try but the price is a bit expensive I may say; but, if you have extra bucks to indulge then have some treats then.
Hmmmmmm this is where Batman live, ayt?
If Hollywood is more elaborate and embellished with store outlets and sidewalks entertainment, New York is a little bit relax but the mood is still there. Meticulous arrangement of buildings that lined-up the area features paved streets, gas lamps, lots of road signs and the famous and distinct characteristic that New York is known for is the elegant building/houses made from reddish brown sandstone.
One distinct characteristic of New York City! Road directions!
I was just wondering because most of the vicinity consist of many buildings/apartments align from one block to the other but don’t know if they have something to offer inside or just plain facade; inorder to find that out, we did try to open most of the doors in here and it’s crystal clear they were all close! (ahahaha!). Well, it’s just a replica for goodness sake (hehehe!).
The statue of 'Atlas' in front of Rockefeller Center carrying 3 interlocking rings.
Just in front of Rockefeller Center stands the famous ‘Atlas’ statue holding an armillary sphere. It might not be as big as the real one in New York but his representation is quite good enough. As a symbol of Ancient Greek that holds the heaven, in here the bronze sculpture still carries 3 interlocking rings which suppose to have images of 12 zodiac sign. I don't know if there is since the rings are too thin (hehehe!)
View of the New York City Public Library at night.
The replica of the New York City Public Library which is considered as the focal point of the whole zone is just stunningly amazing! I checked through the web the image of the building and it’s mimicry is truly remarkable! Well, it’s not just the library but most of the buildings in here. The intricate detailing of most of the designs is really beautiful! It maybe the smallest version but they copy it like real!
Subway station, unfortunately out of service! (ahahaha!)
There is a subway just besides the library, I don’t know if there is really a train station below but that is one trademark that represents New York (ahahaha!). Another building which is famous for Broadway show is the ‘Palace Theater’ just in front of City Library. For all Filipinos out there, be ready to see for real the ‘Street Boys’ who do some dance tricks while entertaining the tourist. They usually pick audiences randomly and when chosen get ready to shake that booty then (ahahaha!).
Street Boys known dancers in the Philippines entertained guest just in front of Palace Theater
Are you ready to shake that booty? (ahahaha!)
We waited for some other entertainers like jugglers, mime actors in the streets but no one came up so we decided to visit the nearby show ‘Light Camera Action’ hosted by the director himself Mr. Steven Spielberg which I will feature next.
Two skillfully sculpted lions in front of  the Public Library.
New York maybe a thousand miles from Southeast Asia but bringing a mini replica in here is an awesome and delightful idea. We enjoyed every step of the way. If you ask me if I ever come back again, my answer without a doubt is definitely a huge 'YES!' along with our families.
New York City is known for their elegant reddish brown sandstone which is always use in any apartment buildings.
So there you go, that’s our story behind Big Apple.

Have a great night/day everyone.

Enan signing off.
